June 2017

Getting busier now. Lots going on in the run up to the Regionals too, though not a lot of photo evidence of any of this. Graham did another epic flight of over 600km at the start of the month which seemed a good omen for the summer. Having said that, as these photos of the Capstan derig show, the weather was very changeable!!

Mick had a small argument with the hangar & bus, but made good the damage very quickly!!
Phil Hebden got a new toy in June. Here are a couple of photos of his Miles Gemini, one of only a few of these lovely aircraft still flying. A few lucky folks have been for a flight....

John Rogers relaxing before a launch!!
Some of the team relaxing in the shade after the hangar was closed. Another lovely evening.

Sooty continued to make friends with club members, particularly those who feed her regularly!

Clive got some new helpers with his bar stocking! Lots of work needed prior to the Regionals, bar and food are particularly important to back up our many social events.

May 2017

May continued much the same, though I don't seem to have many photos to confirm this! Perhaps everyone was too busy out flying??

Graham did a few long flights, including a trip to South/Central Wales.

Sooty continued to grow up - here she is hiding in the flowers by the club house.
Our midweek activity ramped up as the days get longer. Visitors Bernard Poole and Chris Leggert enjoyed flying with George mid week.

April 2017

Oh dear - catch up time!
April saw some mixed weather with some nice days.
Alan & Tim sent these from a cross country.
Harry's Mum agreed to a flight, just to see what it was all about!

Ivan took 'Lucy of Kineton' on a voyage around the club field in the hovercraft one day.

Rowan's Cirrus came back all shiny from her regel in Poland.

Patrick finally flew his Discus.
Jessie and son with grandad Mike at the airfield.
Some days the weather was great!

Sooty 'had the op' just in time to prevent more bundles of fun from arriving. She doesn't seem to bear any grudges and here you can see her fun growing back.
Andy J has his first flight on a windy and miserable day. He joined anyway!! Some days the weather wasn't too great.

Lots of pretty flowers in the grass triangle, prior to the big mowing.
