Well, everyone is here at last. 31 gliders, pilots and crew. Quite a lot of crew this year, which might make life a bit easier for control. No Alan or Trish so we're hoping our rejigged Competition team will not let the side down - there's a lot to live up to.
Our first comp briefing went ok, introductions over the pilots went to grid and there was a bit of grid squatting (traditional first day activity!!) before the day was cancelled due to lack of decent weather. This didn't seem to greatly bother anyone, and we had a BBQ in the evening, courtesy of Mary & Gavin, followed by a performance (under the gazebo!) of the Hook Norton Brass Band. Bar was busy as always.
