The winter mid-weekers decided that Monday was the day! John R, Mick F, Dave G, Keith M and I got out CCC in glorious sunshine (rub it in won't you? ed) and I launched John & Dave. Minutes later I got a radio message from John - 'could we have an hour?'. 'Have what you want' I replied, calling their bluff.
60 minutes later to the minute they landed, claiming a height gain of 3600ft. Mick and I jumped in and, believe it not if you dare, had 60 minutes and got to 4000ft!
Sadly, when John & Keith then launched the sky had gone and they had a sunny sledge ride.
