Just a little snow!
Amazing sights at Shenington in the March snow.
No chance of flying with the T Hangers under 4ft of snow in places, roads around the club are passable except for the sugarswell road.
I'm sure spring will arrive soon :)

Super soaring between the snow showers!
Another super day with lots of soaring and AFRs and BI Cx taking place.
Bruno was busy all day in DVX, so helped out in HVQ completing 10 instructional flights myself, including some great soaring with Richard A when we got to over 4000ft! Jane and Gail got their AFRs completed, and there were several others out also.

Th Duo was out, as was the DG800 and D100, in which JR completed the longest flight of the day at 1:51. He even set of XC to Bidford, but was blocked by a snow shower.
Lots of fun still left in the week.

A sky to fly for...
DVX waiting to launch into the streeting skies. |
Bitterly cold, but with fantastic looking streets when I popped in. Kath on the winch and Bruno busy with Clive and Neil, braving the blustery NE'ly winds to soar the streeting skies. With the unstable conditions and the wind forecast to be on the ridge during the next couple of days, it could provide some classic fun. Don't miss it!

Bright start to the season.
Harry and Bruno. |
This week saw the start of full 7-day ops for the 2013 season, with Bruno instructing and Kath back winching. Several folks turned up to take advantage of the good weather at the start of the week, including visitors flying in! Chairman, Alan L, spent several hours with our new office administrator, Anya, showing her the ropes - she will be manning the office Mon-Fri mornings to take bookings.
Visitors from White Waltham. |
